Privacy Policy.

Effective: May 30, 2026

Quittin Time is built around a simple promise: a tool that protects your time should not spend it harvesting your data. Quittin Time tracks your active work hours entirely on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no servers, and no tracking. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.

Who we are

Quittin Time is published by Tim Schindler, an individual developer. References to “we,” “us,” or “the developer” in this policy mean Tim Schindler.

Data we collect

None. Quittin Time does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. There is no account, no login, and no sign-up.

The app does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. Because it does not track you, it does not use App Tracking Transparency and never asks for permission to track.

Your work-time data

The work sessions and settings you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). This information stays on your iPhone and is not sent to us.

iCloud backup

If you choose to use iCloud backup, your Quittin Time data is stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. That data lives in your personal Apple account, and the developer has no access to it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Purchases

The optional one-time Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and In-App Purchase. The developer never receives or stores your payment details or credit-card information.

Notifications

Quittin Time uses local notifications only — the nudges that remind you to stop work are generated on your device. There is no push server and no remote notifications.

Children

Quittin Time is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you control it. Deleting the app removes its local data from your iPhone. If you have used iCloud backup, you can manage or remove that data through your device’s iCloud settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date above will be updated to reflect the latest version.
